Rafael Zamorano Bezerra

Rafael Zamorano Bezerra. Bachelor’s degree in History; Master’s degree in Political Science (2006); and PhD in Social History (2014), all from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. He is responsible for the National History Museum’s Research Group and has been editor of the Anais do Museu Histórico Nacional since 2007. He is a guest professor with Fiocruz’s Professional Master’s Degree Program in the Preservation and Management of Cultural Heritage in the Sciences and Health and professor with the Professional Master’s Degree Program in the Teaching of History at the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Since 2018, he has served as coordinator of the Brazilian Institute of Museums’ Program for Early Research Scholarships (PIBIC/CNPq-IBRAM) and has been a CNPq junior post-doctoral fellow. His research interests include history, museums, and heritage, most especially contemporary history, history museums, historical heritage, writing history at museums, and collecting.
