Gisele Porto Sanglard

Gisele Sanglard. Bachelor’s degree in History from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ, 1994); Master’s degree through the Bourse D’études Pour Étudians Étrangers at the Université de Friburg (1996); Master’s degree in the Social History of Culture from PUC-RJ (2000); PhD in the History of the Sciences and Health from Fiocruz (2005); and inter-university exchange doctoral studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (2004). She is a public health researcher at Fiocruz and has experience in the field of history, with a focus on the history of science, especially Rio de Janeiro, philanthropy, social assistance, the First Republic, and public health. She currently serves as coordinator of the Casa de Oswaldo Cruz’s Graduate Program in the History of the Sciences and Health.
